The first week of December is a notorious (for film journalists) dead zone, with distributors uncharacteristically unwilling to flood the market with more product after the Thanksgiving rush. Hey, whatever gives you the chance to check out Hugo. That means this week Burns and I had to work with a cow’s ear, meaning a Six Pack* tied to a film that premiered three weeks ago, a review of Kinyarwanda, which isn’t even playing Philadelphia proper (it’s at Cherry Hill, which I guess close enough) and a late cap on Arthur Christmas, because why not.
