2. Mauvais Sang (1986, Leo Carax) Pissed I’m not at Cannes to experience Carax’s by-all-accounts stunningly batshit Holy Motors. Then I remembered I lived with this. More than just this, the most beautiful portrayal of joy I’ve ever seen in a film (skip to 2:30 for relevant item, although the whole clip — and film - is aces). [DVD]
